The Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, has scheduled an overnight trip for senior citizens ages 50 and older, who are headed to Cedar City for the 2007 Utah Shakespearean Festival.
A motor coach will depart from the center at 8 a.m. on Oct. 11 and will return at 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 12.
The price is $168 per person for a double room and $210 for a single room and includes transportation and show tickets. The deadline for payment is Sept. 10. For more details, call 455-7340.

Shakespeare tribute planned at theater
The Good Medicine Theatre Company and the Clark County Parks and Recreation Department's Cultural Division plan a performance of the comedy "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)" by Adam Long, Jess Winfield and Daniel Singer.
Performances are scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Winchester Cultural Center Theater, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Shows are at 7 p.m., with a Saturday a matinee at 2 p.m.
General admission is $10, while senior citizens and students ages 18 and younger pay $8. Tickets will be sold at the door.

Film beneath stars scheduled at Becker
A free movie in Hills Park is planned for all ages from 8 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday at Becker Community School, 9110 Hillpointe Road.

The Moms Offering Moms Support Club of Summerlin South is taking new memberships.
Interested mothers can learn about the group at its next meeting, planned for 10 a.m. on Sept. 5. The organization offers activities for mothers and their children and its members assist the community through various service projects.

Festival to celebrate hip-hop music
The Hip Hop Cultural Festival is planned for 6-10 p.m. on Sept. 8 at Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park, 720 Twin Lakes Drive.
Residents can bring blankets and lawn chairs for an evening of performances by local and regional acts, with guest appearances by national artists.
