Church finds refuge in music store
Unity pastor leads worship services at West Sahara shop

Unity Church of the Desert is undergoing changes. In May, a new pastor took over the reins of the church. After July, it moved to a new location for services.

It now meets for 10 a.m. Sunday worship at the Family Music Store, 8125 W. Sahara Ave. Entry is made through the back of the building. Its Web site is www.unitylasvegas.com.

PREP FOOTBALL: Crusaders get tough
Program plans improvement through strength of nonconference schedule

To better prepare his team for Southern League 3A play and hopefully the postseason, Faith Lutheran High School coach Jake Kothe decided it would be best to schedule some tougher opponents this season.

After starting 3-0 last season and outscoring its lesser opponents, 124-19, in the process, Kothe said he thought knocking heads against some stronger schools would serve his Crusaders well come this October and November.
