Toddler's story inspires

It's an honor Todd and Shawn Radwanski prefer hadn't been bestowed on their daughter. She was the poster child for the Candlelighters for Childhood Cancer of Southern Nevada's recent 5K Fun Run/Walk, held April 29 at Mountain's Edge Master Planned Community near Blue Diamond Road and Buffalo Drive.

Adilyn Radwanski was diagnosed with retinoblastoma when she was 8 months old. The first indication was that she had a wandering eye.


Holocaust survivor speaks at May Elementary School

Lydia Lebovic stood in front of Mitch Kalin's class at May Elementary School ready to tell fifth-graders a personal story full of hatred and murder.

"I told (Kalin) I don't like to speak to elementary schools. It's not a nice story," she said.
