At its Feb. 21 meeting, the Clark County Planning Commission voted to:

Approve to vacate and abandon a portion of a right-of-way on Maggie Avenue between Maverick Street and Jones Boulevard in a Rural Estates Residential Zone.

Approve the waivers of development standards to reduce lot area and waive full off-sites, except paving, in conjunction with a single family residential development on 4.1 acres in a Rural Estates Residential Zone on the southeast corner of Rainbow Boulevard and Farm Road.

At its Feb. 22 meeting, the commission voted to:

Approve a zone change to reclassify 3.1 acres from a Rural Estates Residential Zone to Medium Density Residential Zone for future residential development on the northwest corner of Campbell Road and Darling Road.

At its Feb. 23 meeting, the commission voted to:

Approve the holdover use permit to allow a custodial institution in conjunction with a single family residence; waiver of development standards for alternative residential design standards for a commercial trailer in a residential district; and design review for an accessory commercial trailer in conjunction with a custodial institution on 1 acre in a Rural Estates Residential Zone on the east side of Apricot Lane and 500 feet north of Smoke Ranch Road.

Approve the use permits for a residential boarding stable waiving reduced minimum lot area, increased number of horses, accessory structures to exceed half the footprint of the principal structure and the cumulative area of all accessory structures to exceed the footprint of the principal structure, reduced area for training and exercising animals, and to allow accessory structures to have architectural features not compatible with the principal building in conjunction with a single family residence on 1 acre in a Rural Estates Residential Zone on the west side of Maverick Street, 200 feet north of Jo Marcy Drive.

Approve the use permit to increase the number of adults within a group home on 0.5 acres in a Rural Estates Residential Zone on the south side of Stacey Avenue, 420 feet east of Michael Way.
