At its Feb. 7 meeting, the Clark County Planning Commission voted to:

Approve the variance third extension of time to review a jet ski/boat repair business within an open bay of an existing boat wash facility on 0.8 acres in a C-2 zone on the south side of Lake Mead Boulevard, 450 feet west of Christy Lane.

Approve the waiver of conditions of a variance requiring a use permit under Title 30 in conjunction with a jet ski/boat repair business within an open bay of an existing boat wash facility on 0.8 acres in a C-2 zone on the south side of Lake Mead Boulevard, 450 feet west of Christy Lane.

Approve the waiver of development standards to reduce setbacks in conjunction with an existing single-family home on 0.1 acres in an R-2 zone on the north side of Fairlight Drive, and 600 feet west of Sloan Lane.

Approve the waiver of development standards to eliminate required parking in conjunction with a storage yard; design review to establish a construction equipment storage yard on 3.5 acres in an M-1 zone on the east side of Copper Sage Street, 630 feet south of Lone Mountain Road.

Approve the waiver of development standards to reduce the setback in conjunction with a proposed single-family residence on 0.4 acres in an R-E zone on the northeast corner of Rossmore Drive and Mesquite Avenue.

At its Feb. 8 meeting, the commission voted to:

Approve the zone change to reclassify 11 acres from an R-3 zone to P-F zone in the MUD-3 Overlay District; use permit for a major school and ancillary uses; design review for a new elementary school and ancillary structures and uses on the west side of Jimmy Durante Drive, 1,000 feet south of Harmon Avenue.

Approve the zone change to reclassify 4.4 acres from an R-T zone to R-2 zone for a single-family residential development; waiver of development standards for reduced lot area on the north side of Owens Avenue and the east side of Gateway Road.

Approve the tentative map for a subdivision consisting of 33 single-family residential lots and three common elements on 4.4 acres in an R-2 zone on the northeast corner of Gateway Road and Owens Avenue, 700 feet east of Walnut Road.

Approve the waiver of conditions of a zone change requiring that prior to any permits or licenses being issued by the county, permits or letter stating no objection are required from the following agencies: United State Army Corps of Engineers, Nevada Division of Environmental Protection, Southern Nevada Water Authority -- Resources Department, and the Clark County Flood Control District on 8.7 acres in a C-2 zone in the MUD-3 Overlay District on the southwest corner of Boulder Highway and Russell Road.

Approve the design review for a shopping center on 8.7 acres in a C-2 zone in the MUD-3 Overlay District on the south side of Russell Road and the west side of Boulder Highway.

Approve to appeal use permit for a place of worship; waivers of development standards for the following: allow a place of worship to have access from a non-collector or non-arterial street, and off-site improvements; design review for a place of worship on 1.7 acres in an R-E zone on the east side of Ringe Lane and the south side of Meikle Lane.

At its Feb. 9 meeting, the commission voted to:

Approve the holdover use permit to increase the height of an accessory structure in conjunction with a place of worship on 2.6 acres in an R-E zone; design review for a minaret in conjunction with a place of worship on the north side of Desert Inn Road, 650 feet east of Mountain Vista Street.

Approve the use permit to allow a light manufacturing use in conjunction with an existing office warehouse building on 0.7 acres in an M-1 zone on the west side of Marco Street and 600 feet north of Carey Avenue.

Approve the use permit to allow a separation reduction for a check cashing service from a residential development in conjunction with a shopping center on 2.7 acres in a C-2 zone on the south side of Craig Road and the east side of Lamont Street, 600 feet west of Nellis Boulevard.

Approve the zone change to reclassify 7 acres from R-1 zone and R-4 zone to H-1 zone in the MUD-3 Overlay District; use permits for the following: expansion of the Gaming Enterprise District, construction of a resort hotel, public areas including all casino areas, showrooms, live entertainment areas, shopping center areas, indoor and outdoor dining areas, offices, meeting and convention areas, and back-of-house areas, parking garages, and all associated accessory and incidental commercial uses, building structures, and other uses, and deviations from development standards; deviation from development standards as shown per plans on file; design review for the construction of a resort hotel with associated retail uses, convention center, and guest rooms on 30 acres on the south side of Harmon Avenue and the east side of Boulder Highway.

Approve the use permit to allow a custodial institution on 0.6 acres in an R-3 zone on the southeast corner of Marion Drive and Stanley Avenue.
