Take a hike
Club plans easier treks in February to attract members

Let's just say Chris Dempsey, 60, likes being vertically challenged. Since the Sun City Summerlin resident got into hiking mountains a few years ago, he has been known to trek the wilds an average of four days a week.
In 2004, he logged 1,205 miles. In 2005, "only" 1,162 miles. It is all the more impressive when you realize much of that involved uphill climbs.

Swish gains loyal customers
Japanese restaurant's clientele rises by word-of-mouth advertising

There's nothing like word of mouth to bring in patrons. That's what Swish -- Japanese Hot Pot, 7875 W. Sahara Ave., is finding. It's gaining a loyal following even though it only opened about seven months ago.
"I come here all the time," said Christina Moyer, a business banker who brought along a friend. "I love it. It's unique, it's fresh and it's healthy."
