Local theater group Jade Productions will celebrate its 10th anniversary with matinee performances by troupe members, followed by refreshments and mixing and mingling.
The event, called A Class Act Broadway Songs, Gala Ten Year Anniversary Celebration, stars at 2 p.m. on Sunday inside the Summerlin Library, 1771 Inner Circle Drive.
Tickets for the event cost $20 for adults, $18 for senior citizens and students, and $10 for children under age 12. Call Jade Productions at 263-6385 to purchase tickets. The library, meanwhile, can be reached at 507-3860.
Performances will last roughly 90 minutes and will feature musical selections from past theatrical productions, as well as from shows planned for the future.
The entertainment also will include the Pat Demain band and will be followed by a nosh.
Jade Production's mission is to promote theatre awareness and support by offering excellence in theatrical production for the community, as well as for the artists and technicians involved in productions.

Live swing fills air at Club Tequila
The sounds of swing can be heard tonight at Club Tequila, where live performances last from 8 until 10:30 p.m.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for the Friday Night Jazz event. The club is located inside the Fiesta Rancho, 2400 N. Rancho Drive.
The business also holds Saturday Night Fiesta at 11 p.m. on Saturdays, featuring old school and contemporary R&B music.
Also at Fiesta Rancho, the Cabo Lounge hosts free karaoke with DJ Tiney from 8:30 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Tower of Power due in town
The funky sound of Tower of Power returns tonight through Sunday, with performances scheduled at the Orleans Showroom.
Show times are at 8 p.m., and tickets start at $39.95. They can be obtained by calling the box office at 365-7075.
Formed in 1967 in Oakland, Calif., Tower of Power was originally known as the Motown's Soul Band.
With 25 years' recording and touring experience, Tower of Power melds jazz, funk, rock and soul. The group's recent CD is titled "Souled Out."
The 10-piece band released a number of hit albums in the 1970s, including "Bump City," "Back To Oakland," "Urban Renewal," "In the Slot" and "Live & In Living Color."
Also, Tower of Power scored hits with "You're Still a Young Man," "So Very Hard To Go," and "Don't Change Horses (In the Middle of a Stream)."
Italian eatery offers sounds of Elle Silver
Keyboardist, songwriter and vocalist Elle Silver continues to add to the ambiance at Fellini's Italian Dining, 5555 W. Charleston Blvd.
Silver performs at the Tuscan-style eatery from 7 to 11 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Her repertoire of over 1,000 songs includes standards, light jazz & blues, oldies, Motown, classic rock, contemporary, and old and new country.
Fellini's features a full bar and piano lounge, cigars, and dinner nightly from 5 p.m. Silver has been entertaining there for the past 1 1/2 years.

Local band to celebrate release of its new CD
Hard rock trio Pistol Dawn will hold a CD release party at 10 p.m. on Saturday at the Cheyenne Saloon, 3103 N. Rancho Drive.
The band will perform at 11 p.m. Guest bands are Corner Stone and Conflict of Interest.
Pistol Dawn will be celebrating the release of its self-titled CD. The event will include drink specials and contests.
