Something for everyone
Great expectations set for Open Space and Trails Plan

For some, open space means carefully manicured lawns and perfect playground equipment. For others it's unplanned, with bunches of wild flowers and random rock piles. Officials want both to be valued in Henderson, where the Open Space and Trails Plan was adopted in December as the first document of its kind in the history of the city.

Planners expect the site to make quite an impression.

Fast start for Stealth
New 11-and-under club team wins Cranberry Classic

Starting a club baseball team from scratch in the Las Vegas Valley can be a tough endeavor with so many teams having paid their dues and made names for themselves across the baseball diamonds of Southern Nevada over the last couple of decades.

One club team that just started playing in August already has made a name for itself by winning the 11 & Under division of the United States Specialty Sports Association's (USSSA) 2005 Cranberry Classic, held Nov. 25-27 in Henderson -- the Las Vegas Stealth.
