Instead of being in school, a large number of Faith Lutheran Junior High School students spent Dec. 16 out in the community, making a difference.

An estimated 550 middle school youngsters went to about 30 charities, nonprofit organizations and other sites doing everything from picking up litter in parks, to making up infant care packages for indigent mothers, to stocking food pantries.
