Auditions for "Into The Woods" will be held at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, and 1 p.m. Saturday, at Nevada Ballet Theatre, 1651 Inner Circle Drive.
All roles are available, men and women ages 14 and older can audition.
Participants may be asked to read or participate in improvisations.
Bring a picture and resumè. Come dressed for movement and prepare best 20 bars of a song from "Into The Woods" or another similar style show. An accompanist will be provided.
The Arena Football League's Las Vegas Gladiators dance team, the Gladiator Goddesses, will host tryouts for the Pom Girls, a spirit and pom-pom team.
Tryouts will be from 7-10 p.m. Jan. 25 at Gustav Mauler's Sazio restaurant in The Orleans, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.
Judging will be based on appearance, spirit, dancing skill, audience appeal and communication skills.

SEMINAR
Apple and pear tree care discussed
The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension will sponsor a seminar on how to manage apples, pears and quince.
All the basics will be covered including what kind of fertilizers to use and when, controlling pests of stone fruit, pruning and thinning techniques and water management. The seminar will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the UNCE Learning Center, 2590 Lindell Road.
There will be a pruning demonstration at 8 a.m. Jan. 11, at the Master Gardeners Orchard, 4400 Horse Road, North Las Vegas.
