When North 5th Street was extended from Brooks Avenue north to Cheyenne Avenue, a change had to be made at the par-three North Las Vegas Golf Course.
The ninth tee was on high ground, and the hole was about 200 yards away, and the golfers were swinging hard. And now the errant balls were hooking out over the fence and into traffic, said city recreation programmer Mike Buttell, who for eight years has overseen the course.
