The two slogans on the awning are a little racy. One says: Do you dare to bounce? The other asks: got Bounce?
They serve to invite shoppers to go inside and check out the women's clothing boutique at 750 N. Rampart Blvd., Suite 10, inside Boca Park.
The slogans might help entice people to enter, but the clothing inside is just as attention-getting.
The 650-square-foot shop seems intimate and cozy, giving the impression of being a woman's closet.
There are glittery tops, sequined pants, fuzzy shrugs and club wear.
Jeans dominate one rack inside the shop.
They run $67 to $400, a top price that includes intricate rhinestone patterns on the legs.
Name brands reflect many found at high-end stores and include Allen B and Nicky Hilton.
Nicole Mizak-Diliberto, a hairstylist, said she added Bounce to her list of top-notch clothing stores.
"One of my clients is a friend of the owner," she said. "She said to check it out, so I did. I found the clothes stylish, trendy and the prices reasonable."
Jim and Donna Bounce, who live in Red Rock Country Club, are the driving forces behind the store, which is open daily
Donna's background is in the escrow business. Jim has extensive business experience, having been in real estate and publishing.
Donna has the envious job of doing 100 percent of the buying.
She shops in Los Angeles for clothing and says she looks for items that are fun, trendy and chic; things made for the woman who likes attention.
The shop also offers an eclectic choice of jewelry, belts and purses.
Donna's son David Messer, 18, said on a hipness scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the hippest, the store rated "an 11 1/2."
Opening a clothing shop versus any other type of business was his mother's choice, he said.
"It was either this or open a bakery, but she didn't want to get up at 5 a.m. every day," Messer said.
