ROADWAYS

Tenaya Way road work is under way

The $4.7 million Tenaya Way Roadway Improvements project, from the 215 Beltway to Elkhorn Road in the Northwest Centennial Hills area started on Jan. 30. The city of Las Vegas Public Works Department will improve Tenaya Way to accommodate two travel lanes in each direction with turn lanes, median islands, curbs and gutters. Work also will include the installation of some sidewalks and streetlights, along with storm drainage, water and sanitary sewer system improvements. Traffic signals will be installed at the intersection of Tenaya Way and Elkhorn Road, and some work also will take place on Deer Springs Way between Tenaya Way and Buffalo Drive. Tenaya Way will remain open to one travel lane in each direction while work is under way. As traffic delays can be expected, Buffalo Drive is suggested as an alternate route for north-south travel.
