At its Jan. 3 meeting, the Las Vegas Planning Commission voted to:
Approve the use permit first extension of time to review an existing day care center (12 children maximum) within an existing single family residence on .5 acres on the north side of Oakey Boulevard, west of Duneville Street.
Approve the amended holdover vacate and abandon easements of interest to Clark County between Giles Street and Haven Street, and between Windmill Lane and Moberly Avenue, and a portion of a right-of-way being Geonry Avenue located between Giles Street and Haven Street.
Approve to vacate and abandon a portion of a right-of-way being Post Road between Tenaya Way and Rainbow Boulevard.
Approve to vacate and abandon a portion of a right-of-way being Rainbow Boulevard between Oquendo Road and Patrick Lane, and Patrick Lane between Rainbow Boulevard and Rosanna Street.
Approve to vacate and abandon easements of interest to Clark County between Patrick Lane and Sobb Avenue and between Interstate 215 and Seelinger Street.
Approve the tentative map for a commercial subdivision on 5.3 acres on the southeast corner of Interstate 215 and Patrick Lane.
Approve the waiver of development standards to reduce parking for a place of worship in conjunction with a major school and daycare facility on 1 acre on the north side of Katie Avenue, 350 feet east of Redwood Street; the commission also approved an addition to the place of worship.
Approve the waiver of development standards to increase block wall height in conjunction with a single family residence on .2 acres on the east side of Sepulveda Boulevard and the north side of Arcadia Avenue.
Approve the waiver of development standards to reduce the front setback for a single family residence on .5 acres on the west side of Redwood Street and the north side of Palmyra Avenue.
Approve the design review for an addition to an existing warehouse building on 1.1 acres on the south side of Wagontrail Avenue and the west side of Arville Street.
At its Jan. 4 meeting, the Las Vegas Planning Commission voted to:
Approve the design review for a shopping center on 1.9 acres on the southwest corner of Rainbow Boulevard and Cougar Avenue.
Approve the design review for a tavern within a shopping center on 1.9 acres on the southwest corner of Rainbow Boulevard and Cougar Avenue.
Approve the zone change first extension of time to reclassify 5 acres to construct a commercial shopping center on the northwest corner of Fort Apache Road and Oquendo Road.
Approve the use permit to reduce the separation for outdoor dining from a residential development; to design review for a shopping center on 5 acres; and to waivers of conditions of a zone change requiring a detached sidewalk along Sunset Road and Fort Apache Road and ingress/egress and parking agreements on the north side of Sunset Road and the west side of Fort Apache Road.
Approve the use permit to reduce the separation for outdoor dining from a residential development, and design review for a shopping center on 5 acres on the south side of Sunset Road and the west side of Fort Apache Road.
Approve the zone change to reclassify approximately 14.2 acres within the CMA Design Overlay District and Major Flight Corridor on the south side of Sunset Road, 600 feet west of Decatur Boulevard.

Approve the zone change to reclassify approximately 57.6 acres for a single family residential subdivision; and waivers of development standards for the following: reduce setbacks, reduce lot size, increase block wall height, increase street length and reduce street off-set on approximately 57.6 acres on the east side of Jones Boulevard and the north side of Silverado Ranch Boulevard.
Approve to vacate and abandon easements of interest to Clark County between Jones Boulevard and Lindell Road, and between Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Richmar Avenue, Silverado Ranch Boulevard between Jones Boulevard and Lindell Road, Duneville Street between Richmar Avenue and Silverado Ranch Boulevard, and Gary Avenue between Jones Boulevard and Duneville Avenue.
Approve the tentative map for 368 single family residential lots on 57.6 acres on the east side of Jones Boulevard and the north side of Silverado Ranch Boulevard.
Approve the zone change to reclassify 21 acres for a multi-family residential development; and waivers of development standards for the following: reduce setbacks, waive wall enclosed trash enclosure and reduce landscaping along the street frontage; and design review for a multi-family residential development on the east side of Jeffreys Street and 500 feet north of St. Rose Parkway.

Approve the holdover tentative map for a subdivision consisting of 16 single family residential lots on 2.5 acres in the CMA Design Overlay District on the south side of Russell Road and 650 feet east of Buffalo Drive.
Approve the tentative map for a planned unit development consisting of 99 residential lots and required open space on 10 acres between Windmill Lane and Shelbourne Avenue, 600 feet east of Tenaya Way.
Approve the tentative map for 265 condominium units on 15.2 acres on the north side of Serene Avenue and the east side of Interstate 15, 1,200 feet west of Las Vegas Boulevard South.
Approve the tentative map for 272 condominium units on 13.8 acres on southwest corner of Spencer Street and Pyle Avenue.
Approve the tentative map consisting of 346 condominium units on 19.2 acres in the Pinnacle Peaks Concept Plan area on the northeast corner of Jones Boulevard and Robindale Road.
Approve the tentative map for a commercial subdivision on 2.1 acres in the CMA Design Overlay District on the west side of Rainbow Boulevard, 300 feet north of Patrick Lane.
Approve the tentative map for a commercial subdivision on 5 acres on the east side of Durango Drive, 130 feet north of Robindale Road.
Approve the use permits for the following: allow resort condominiums, exceed building height restrictions and waiver of development standards to allow for landscaping to encroach into a public right-of-way; and design review for the construction of a resort condominium building, associated recreational space and club house and retail uses on 4.9 acres on the east side of Las Vegas Boulevard South and the north side of Pebble Road.
Approve a use permit to increase the height of a building and design review for a hotel on 2 acres on the east side of Rainbow Boulevard, 300 feet south of Patrick Lane.
Approve the use permit for on-premise consumption of alcohol within 200 feet of a residential use; and design review for a shopping center on 17.8 acres on the north side of Blue Diamond Road and the east side of Decatur Boulevard.
Approve the use permits for the following: reduce lot area, and allow a corral/turnout area in the front yard in conjunction with a proposed residential boarding facility on 1.1 acres on the southeast corner of Mardon Avenue and Schrills Street.
Approve the use permit for live entertainment in conjunction with a tavern/restaurant within a shopping center on .5 acres on the north side of Spring Mountain Road, 300 feet west of Hauck Street.
Approve the use permit for live entertainment in conjunction with a restaurant on 1.1 acres 190 feet north of Warm Spring Road and 265 feet east of Placid Street.
