Working out for a cure
Strides gym to donate April membership dues to Susan G. Komen Foundation

Throughout April, Strides Women's Fitness will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a promotion to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The women's gym, owned by Henderson residents Gwen Hughes and her daughters Tia Martin, Bonnie Lucks and Tammy Wilson, will donate all proceeds from enrollment fees to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Hughes and her three daughters started talking about opening a gym about two years ago.

Pinball Hall of Fame opens
Wizards play favorite machines, get to relive youth, help charities

Las Vegas resident Neil Fransen's face lit up when he walked into the Pinball Hall of Fame on a recent morning and asked about a favorite game from his childhood -- The Wizard.

When Pinball Hall of Fame organizer Tim Arnold told him he had it, Fransen was eager to play the day away like he did as a child.
