The great-granddaughter of legendary Russian jeweler Peter Carl Faberge will be in Las Vegas, Thursday, to lend a hand with a fundraising benefit for the art program at Fitzgerald Elementary School in North Las Vegas.

Tatiana Faberge will autograph any and all Faberge items that are purchased during the Delivering a Dozen Dreams event from 6 to 9 p.m. at Villa Reale in The Forum Shops at Caesars, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd.

Juan DeVarreau, president of the Fitzgerald Elementary School's Arts and Education Endowment, and Gil Colon, manager of Villa Reale, a high-end furniture store, said Faberge and Villa Reale will donate a combined 15 percent of Faberge sales during the event to the endowment, with Villa Reale agreeing to donate 10 percent of its sales.

The event also will feature a Faberge art project from the school, which is located at 2651 N. Revere St.

"Six semi-finalists from the school will be selected to have their decorated eggs displayed at the event and personally autographed by Madame Faberge," DeVarreau said. "The winning student will be voted on by our VIP judges."

The fundraiser is a reflection of the commitment made by Beasley & DeVarreau Sotheby's International Realty to the school, which resulted in development of the Arts and Education Endowment, said company spokeswoman Latoya Bembry.

"An ongoing program, professionals from all walks of art, including artists, dancers, songwriters, photographers, filmmakers, designers, architects and storytellers, will help teach the diversity of art to students," she said.

For more information on the event, contact DeVarreau at 938-6756.
