There are a million stories to be seen in the faces of children who have been neglected or abused. Many of those children fall under the umbrella of CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocate. To children, it means someone is looking out for their best interests.
There are more than 2,000 Southern Nevada children, from infants to 18 years, in foster homes or in alternative care facilities. Sometimes they are from an abusive home. Sometimes their parents are drug addicts and neglect them.
