Most people look forward to some days off from work. Summerlin resident Phil Leo, 43, hopes they never arrive. That's how much he loves his job.

Come tomorrow, he'll have logged 1,000 days of working without a break.

Shiloh Ranch offers horses sanctuary

On the edge of the Las Vegas Strip rests a rural oasis that offers a breath of fresh air to residents and refuge for 50 abandoned and abused horses.

Sharil Dalaggi, a concierge manager at the MGM Grand, starts her mornings by throwing on her "stall clothes" and driving down to Shiloh Ranch at 825 W. Roban Road to groom the two horses she adopted from the sanctuary.
