When Betty Ellison retired to Las Vegas after 33 years of work, she was in a new town and wanted to get to know some new people. She had already traveled all over the world with her husband, but she still wanted to find a way to stay active.

"I was 57 years old and still too young to do nothing and too old to do most other things," Ellison said.
