Art raises money, awareness
Radiation therapy students aim for higher standards

Students in the Community College of Southern Nevada's radiation therapy technology program recently raised several thousand dollars through a wine tasting and art auction held at Maynard Gallery in Henderson.
Though the event was held to earn money for the students to attend the annual American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) conference which will be held in Denver this fall, it also bought attention to the lack of certification requirements for radiation therapists in Nevada.
