The next big step

Whether you think of yourself as having two left feet or as the reincarnation of Fred Astaire, Glenda Trammel says anyone can learn to move to the music.

"People say they can't dance because they have no rhythm," she said. "But you have to have rhythm to walk. So everybody has rhythm, they just don't know it."

Cheer Nation's all-star program is accepting boys and girls in first through fifth grades. Practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at 6265 S. Valley View Rd. Call 498-5723 for more information.

Chris Eichholz, a graduate of Bonanza High School and student at the University of California, Davis, was named to the Division II All-American water polo first team. The junior driver tied for the team lead with 48 goals and also was named a member of the All-Western Water Polo Association's first team. UCD lost to Redlands in the quarterfinals of the WWPA Championships.
