CAI schedules HERO awards

The Community Associations Institute, Nevada Chapter (CAI) has scheduled its third annual HERO awards ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Palace Station, on the second floor convention area.

The luncheon honors public safety officers and civilians that have made a positive impact in the community and go out of their way to save lives.

GRANTS

CCC gets assistance from Nevada Power

The Center for Compassionate Care (CCC), 4131 Swenson St., recently received a $10,000 grant from the Nevada Power Foundation to support local counseling services for those without health insurance or other financial resources.

CCC is housed in the Schwartz facility, part of the Nathan Adelson Group.

The grant will allow CCC to provide low-cost counseling to approximately 200 Las Vegas clients over the next year.
