ACTIVITIES

"Destination Yesterday" will be presented from 1 until 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Clark County Museum, 1830 S. Boulder Highway in Henderson. The historical program will include demonstrations of blacksmithing, rope making, tatting, quilting and washboard laundry, as well as hands-on experiences. Historic movie matinees and entertainment from the Backward Glance Band will also be part of the event. Admission to the program is $1.50 for adults or $1 for children and seniors. Third Thursday, a monthly celebration of the local art scene, is held from 5 until 9 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in the Water Street District of downtown Henderson. First Friday, a monthly cultural open house and street festival held in the downtown Las Vegas Arts District, returns every first Friday of the month, from 6 to 10 p.m. Maps of the Arts District may be found at The Funk House, 1228 South Casino Center. They will also be available the evening of First Friday at S2Art, 1 E. Charleston Blvd., or at The Red Rooster Antique Mall, 1109 Western Avenue. DANCE
