DANCE

Boyack's summer camp planned for July

Boyack's Dance Attack Summer Camp is scheduled from July 26-28 in Henderson and from July 29-31 in the Summerlin area.

The camp will feature professional instruction in hip-hop, jazz, ballet and more, with awards, a barbecue and a pool party included. Those who register before July 16 will receive a free T-shirt.

BASKETBALL

Tarkanian Academy sets up camps

The Tarkanian Basketball Academy has scheduled several summer camps at Home Courts in Henderson.

A two-day camp is slated for July 16 and 17 and the registration fee is $75. The fee is $165 for a weeklong camp Aug. 9-12 and an all-girls camp Aug. 16-19.

INSTRUCTION

Sports clinics set through August

Several Southern Nevada AAU youth sports clinics are scheduled each week, through Aug. 20, at Home Courts in Henderson. Players can choose from seven different sports each week -- baseball, boys and girls basketball, cheerleading, dance, softball, soccer and volleyball -- and each daily session will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The registration fee is $125 per player, with discounts for multiple weeks and multiple children, and includes a clinic T-shirt, an AAU membership and prizes and awards.

BOCCE

Summer league open to all ages

The city of Las Vegas is accepting registration for a summer bocce league, which is open to all ages and all skill levels.

Contests are scheduled from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Patriot Park. The fee is $10 per session and those interested can call Marilyn or Stanley at 229-6374.

BASEBALL

UNLV schedules summer camps

The UNLV baseball team has scheduled three summer camps, starting with the Summer Night Camp, for ages 7-14, Monday through July 8.

The Beat the Heat Pitching/Catching Camp, a high-level, two-day camp, is slated to take place Aug. 12 and 13, with a Beat the Heat Elite Hitting Camp scheduled on the same dates.

Both camps are open to ages 10-18, with discounts for those attending both camps, and players will be grouped by age and ability level. Those interested can call 896-4462 or visit collegebaseballcamps.com/rebels.

GYMNASTICS

Scherbo School lines up camps

The Vitaly Scherbo School of Gymnastics has scheduled several summer day camps, running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. The first camp is slated for July 19-23 and other camps are scheduled for July 26-30 and Aug. 2-6.

Children are grouped according to age and gymnastics ability. Daily snack, juice and art supplies are included. Those interested can call 259-5020.

SOCCER

Premier Club schedules tryouts

The Las Vegas Premier Soccer Club has scheduled several tryouts for its traveling competitive teams in June and July.

There is no fee for tryouts, which are for boys and girls under-11 to under-18 teams, and all players receive written evaluations.

All tryouts will take place at the Silver Bowl's North Soccer Complex, located at Russell Road and Boulder Highway, with boys slated to try out at 6 p.m. Tuesday and July 7, and girls at 6 p.m. Thursday and July 8.

Sagebrush Youth league making plans

Sagebrush Youth Soccer of Southern Nevada, the oldest youth soccer league in the state, is starting registration for its fall league soon. The league is open to boys and girls, ages 6 to 15, and the nonprofit organization offers a complimentary skills clinic and tournament for its fall league.

VOLLEYBALL

Durango clinic set for July 12-15

The Blazers All Skills Volleyball Clinic is scheduled from July 12-15 at Durango High School.

The camp is open to girls ages 11-17 and the registration fee is $125, which includes a clinic T-shirt. The clinic is slated from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

Summer programs open to all ages

Vegas Youth Volleyball has scheduled summer programs for all ages, including developmental programs, leagues and mini-camps.
