PARK ELEMENTARY: Math education adds up

Park Elementary's math curriculum coordinator Linda Garber didn't apply for a Toyota TIME grant in order to gain funds so fourth-graders can learn calculus. Keys to Success was one of only eight elementary school programs and 35 total schools in the nation to receive the $10,000 two-year allotment, and it was Garber's desire to make math fundamentals more concrete that the National Council of Teachers in Mathematics found to be worthy of funding.
