Showcase seeks talented youth

Young people between between the ages of 6 and 18 who would like to audition for Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services' 25th annual Search for Talent Showcase must submit their entry forms by 2 p.m. Jan. 17. There is a $10 per person registration fee.

Auditions will be held at Reed Whipple Cultural Center, 821 Las Vegas Blvd. North at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 14. The Search for Talent Showcase is scheduled for March 27. For more information or an entry form, call 229-6211.

ARTS

Arts Council recruiting for consultants

The Nevada Arts Council is currently recruiting technical consultants for art and cultural nonprofit organizations throughout Nevada. Participants will receive training in different areas of concentration including financial management, organization and board development and strategic planning.

Applications are due Jan. 15, and packets are available on the Internet at www.NevadaCulture.org.
