Skinklinic to offer holiday tips

The public is invited to come to skinklinic inside Mandalay Place from 2 to 6 p.m. Dec. 11 to get tips on keeping skin looking good during the holiday season.

Hors d'oeuvres, champagne, wine and other refreshments will be available. Skinklinic also will offer free glycolic hand peels and discounts on services. All attendees can enter-to-win a skinklinic "Ho Ho Ho Holiday Package" valued at $3,000. Call 632-3300 for more information.

Four Seasons to open Teddy Bear Suite

Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas will showcase hundreds of teddy bears for the holidays from FAO Schwarz, Exclusive, Nostalgic and Unique Toys. The Hotel's Presidential Suite will be transformed into a Teddy Bear Fantasy Suite, boasting over 500 teddy bears and other animals from Dec. 10-21.

The Holiday Teddy Bear Fantasy Suite will be open to the public 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and is free of charge.

DSWA to host `Shop and Share'

The Las Vegas chapter of Direct Selling Women's Association plans a Shop and Share event 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at La Quinta Hotel, 7101 Cascade Court. The hotel is south of MountainView Hospital, off Tenaya Way.

About 20 booths will have holiday gifts for sale, including cosmetics, candles and skin care products. The event is free. For more information, call 360-9457.

Arts Society seeks singers for concert

The Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society is offering singers the chance to perform with the group, which is preparing for its annual Christmas concert.

Interested singers should bring "Messiah" scores to rehearsal, held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Sundays at the UNLV Alta Ham Fine Arts Building, Room 147.

The group is scheduled to present "Christmas With the Musical Arts Society" at 3 p.m. Dec. 19 in the Horn Theatre at CCSN's Cheyenne campus, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave. Tickets are $10 for adults; $7 for seniors, military and disabled; and $5 for students. They may be purchased at the UNLV Performing Arts Center Box Office, reachable at 895-2787.

Mannheim Steamroller plans holiday show

Mannheim Steamroller is slated to perform at Mandalay Bay Events Center at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12. Christmas music and festive decorations are slated to grace the center for the one-time performance. `Contact' takes the stage

The Tony-winning musical "contact" is slated for 8 p.m. daily from Dec. 29 through Jan. 1, with a 1 p.m. matinee on Jan. 1, at Cashman Theatre, 850 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Ticket prices range from $27.50 to $73.70 per person and can be purchased by calling 798-5090 or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com.

Colorado String Quartet to perform

The Las Vegas Chamber Music Society along with Teller, of Penn & Teller, is scheduled to present the Colorado String Quartet at 8 p.m. Dec. 17 and 4 p.m. Dec. 18 in The Palazzo Suites at the Rio, 3700 West Flamingo Road.

Tickets are $125 apiece plus tax, including both performances and a pre-concert tea/reception with Teller and the Colorado String Quartet at 3 p.m. Dec. 18. Tickets may be obtained by calling the Rio Box Office at 777-7776.
