HISTORY OF HELPING: UNLVino turns 30
Thirty years ago, Jerry Vallen, dean of the College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Larry Ruvo, Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada senior managing director, began hosting small wine tasting events for wine lovers, who were few and far between at the time, and wine makers.
