The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors is planning a one-day course titled "What Every Licensee Should Know" to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 28 at GLVAR, 1750 E. Sahara Ave.
Topics to be covered include the agency, duties owed, broker policies, processing skills, disclosure, escrow and fair housing.

to offer internships
Henderson-based Bank of Commerce is helping to educate the future business leaders of Nevada by continuing its participation with the Clark County Summer Business Institute Program. The bank will extend its participation by sponsoring internships for three area high school students this year.
The Summer Business Institute, a program of Clark County's Business Development Division, provides internship opportunities for qualifying high school juniors and seniors in the Las Vegas Valley. Bank of Commerce participated with one student internship in 2002.

JBM Underground
subcontractor founded
JBM Underground, a subcontractor specializing in the installation of wet and dry utilities including power facilities, storm drains and off-site and on-site sewer and water hook-ups, was recently founded in Las Vegas.
Heading up the company are Jerrad Martin, vice president of operations, and Dick O'Dell, project manager/estimator. Current projects include Horizon Town Center, Montecito Life Center, Lowe's in Henderson and the Mountain View Professional Building.

Oncology director
wins certification
Vicki A. Koceja, oncology program director at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, was recently selected as a recipient of the 2003 Robert Scofield Memorial Certification Award on behalf of the Oncology Nursing Certification Corp. board of directors and the ONCC Recognition Subcommittee.
Koceja is one of 50 registered nurses in the country to receive the award.
