Spring Swing
set for June 4
The Spring Swing charity golf tournament is scheduled for June 4 at Bear's Best Las Vegas, with proceeds to benefit The Adoption Exchange.
The entry fee is $175 per player and includes dinner, along with a silent auction and awards ceremony. Sponsorships are also available.

plans golf event
Faith Lutheran Junior/Senior HIgh School has scheduled its golf classic tournament June 9 at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, in a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
The registration fee for the scramble is $250 per person and includes breakfast, contests, prizes, tee gifts and an awards ceremony and luncheon. All proceeds benefit Faith Lutheran's scholarship fund.

Gambler Classic
set for June
The Las Vegas Gambler Golf Classic, which will benefit the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association, is slated for June 14-15 at Stallion Mountain Country Club.

The sixth annual North Las Vegas Chamber Foundation Golf Tournament is scheduled for June 13 at the Painted Desert Golf Club.

accepting juniors
Tom Carlson's Junior Golf Association, located at the Craig Ranch Golf Course, is accepting junior golfers for its introductory and advanced classes. Classes are open to boys and girls ages 5 to 18.

Silver Cup team
qualifying starts June 3
The Women's Southern Nevada Golf Association's Silver Cup Team Qualifier is slated for June 3 at the Siena Golf Course.
The top five gross and net scores will advance to the Silver Cup, which is scheduled for Oct. 5-8 at Sierra Nevada Golf Course near Carson City. The entry fee for the qualifier is $88.

Team Fury looking
for youngsters
Tryouts for Team Fury, which competes in the under-11 division in the Nevada South Youth Soccer League, are scheduled for 9 a.m. June 14 at Leavitt Middle School, on Lone Mountain Road, one block west of Buffalo Drive.

Academy to host
camps at Palo Verde
The Ultimate Soccer Academy has scheduled several five-day soccer camps at Palo Verde High School, starting June 9-13, with other sessions slated for June 23-27, July 7-12, July 21-25 and Aug. 4-8. Half-day programs run from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for ages 4-7, while full-day programs are also offered from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 7-16.
Full-day programs will feature indoor soccer during hot afternoons and all players will receive a soccer ball and T-shirt. Guest appearances are expected from Eric Wynalda, John Harkes and other U.S. national team members.

special AYSO program
The AYSO soccer league in Boulder City is offering its Very Important Players (VIP) program for the second straight season.
The program provides a quality soccer experience for children and adults with physical or mental disabilities. The registration fee is $40 per player and includes a full uniform and trophy. Registration is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 7 at the Paseo Verde Library, located at 280 S. Green Valley Parkway.

Shadow Ridge High School has scheduled a basketball camp, for boys entering grades six through 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., June 9-13, at Leavitt Middle School.
Registration is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. June 9 at Leavitt Middle School, located on Lone Mountain Road, a block west of Buffalo Drive.
