PHOTO: Hockey Holiday

Members of the Las Vegas Wranglers hockey team visited Summerlin Hospital Medical Center during the holidays. They gave out stuffed animals and spread holiday cheer to children in the hospital's pediatric unit. Players Tom Nelson, left, and teammate Marc Magliarditi, the team's goalie, and the Wranglers' mascot The Duke were on hand to give out the stuffed animals. The players and mascot spent the afternoon greeting kids in Summerlin Hospital's Pediatric Unit. The stuffed animals the athletes gave out were among the 800 collected at the team's Nov. 29 game which saw a "teddy bear toss." The stuffed animals were collected to benefit Summerlin Hospital and its sister hospital Spring Valley. Fans were asked to bring new stuffed animals and toss them onto the ice after the home team scored its first goal.
