Northwestern Mutual Financial Representative Gary R. Davis recently received the Diamond Award and was recognized during the 123rd annual meeting of the Association of Agents for sales achievements.
Las Vegas-based Health Plan of Nevada recently was honored by Marketing Report with three gold, five silver and two merit awards for the various campaign components of its 20th anniversary advertising and public relations campaign. HPN also captured a prestigious silver award for overall campaign execution.
Creative Dynamics Inc. recently won 11 awards at the annual Las Vegas American Institute of Graphic Art Work Show. CDI was also recently selected as a winner in the 2003 American Graphic Design Awards competition.
The employees of Desert Radiologists won the largest team award for participation in the 2003 Susan G. Komen Las Vegas Race for the Cure event.
Barbara Fraser, director of education at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center and Sunrise Children's Hospital, was honored at NurseWeek's annual Mountain West Nursing Excellence Awards ceremony as the "Advancing the Profession" winner.

Target General Inc. recently announced completed construction on the Charles Arthur Hughes Middle School complex in Mesquite.
South Pointe Plaza, a commercial project on the southeast corner of Eastern Avenue and Coronado Center Drive in Henderson, recently held a groundbreaking event and announced the signing of several retail tenants, including Homewood Suites by Hilton, M.J. Christensen Jewelers, Cabo Rico Cantina & Grille and Jiffy Lube.
Thomas & Mack Development Group recently announced the groundbreaking on a two-story office building and a flex office building at the Las Vegas Technology Center II, located at Buffalo Drive and Smoke Ranch Road.

Hospital donation
to benefit patients
The David L. Simon Foundation recently presented University Medical Center's Cancer Center with the first of two $29,000 checks that will be used to purchase computer software to assist doctors, nurses and other staff in the management of clinical documentation and in monitoring chemotherapy orders.
David Simon was a patient at UMC's Cancer Center and made arrangements that, upon his death, a donation would be made to those who helped him.

Star7 launches
ad and PR services
The advertising and public relations divisions of Starr Seigle Communications in Las Vegas recently began operating under the ownership of partners Sean McKinley and Peter Poggione.
The new corporation, Star7 Communications, has picked up the contracts on all Starr Seigle Advertising and StarrPR employees in Las Vegas and will maintain the same office in the Howard Hughes Airport Center.
