On July 16, the Planning Commission recommended to:

Approve a use permit for increased height of a hotel/timeshare and previously approved shopping center and waivers of development standards for the following: 1) reduced setback; and 2) alternative street trees in conjunction with a proposed timeshare development on 7.6 acres in a general commercial zone located on the east side of Wynn Road and the south side of Pioneer Avenue.

Approve an appeal tentative map consisting of 108 single family residential lots and five common element lots on 10.6 acres in a residential urban density zone located on the north side of Russell Road 850 feet east of Hualapai Way.

Approve an appeal tentative map consisting of 88 single family residential lots on approximately 94.9 acres in a medium density residential planned community overlay district zone within the Southern Highlands Master Planned Community and a waiver to increase cul-de-sac length located on the southeast corner of Stonewater Lane and Decatur Boulevard.

Approve a holdover appeal vacate and abandon easements of interest to Clark County located between Ford Avenue and Blue Diamond Road, and between Lindell Road and Mohawk Street, and public right-of-way being a portion of Mohawk Street located between Ford Avenue and Blue Diamond Road in a designed manufacturing zone.

On July 17, the Planning Commission recommended to:

Approve a tentative map consisting of one industrial lot on 7.7 acres in a light manufacturing zone located on both sides of Oquendo Road 200 to 400 feet east of Arville Street.

Approve a tentative map consisting of one industrial lot on 5 acres in a designed manufacturing zone located on the north side of Arby Avenue 330 feet west of Torrey Pines Drive.

Approve a tentative map consisting of one industrial lot on 1.2 acres in a designed manufacturing zone located on the north side of Wagon Trail Avenue 475 feet east of Arville Street.

Approve a waiver to allow overlength cul-de-sacs on 7.2 acres in a medium density residential planned community overlay zone within the Southern Highlands Master Planned Community located 160 feet south of Stonewater Lane and 170 feet east of Augusta Ridge Drive.

Approve a design review for a proposed industrial complex on 2.5 acres in a light manufacturing zone located on the west side of Hinson Street and the south side of Sobb Avenue.

Approve a use permit to allow a tanning salon business within an approved commercial center on 15.7 acres in a general commercial planned community overlay district zone within the Rhodes Ranch Master Planned Community located on the southwest corner of Durango Drive and Warm Springs Road.

Approve a use permit to permit an accessory building to exceed one-half the footprint of a principal dwelling for an accessory structure in conjunction with a single family residence on 1.4 acres in a rural estates residential zone located on the east side of Arville Street between Arby Avenue and Warm Springs Road.

Approve a use permit for outside storage in conjunction with an equipment rental business on 0.9 acres in a general commercial zone located on the east side of Decatur Boulevard 500 feet north of Spring Mountain Road.

Approve a use permit for a dry cleaning establishment in conjunction with a retail center on a portion of 2.3 acres in a local business zone located on the west side of Durango Drive approximately 1,000 feet north of Tropicana Avenue.

Approve a use permit for a major school that has since expired on 4.2 acres in a rural estates residential zone and a waiver of development standards to waive portions of street landscape requirements located on the northwest corner of Oakey Boulevard and Red Rock Street.

Approve a use permit for an accessory structure in conjunction with a proposed single family residence with a building footprint more than 50 percent of the principal dwelling on 1 acre in a rural estates residential zone and a waiver of development standards to increase accessory building height where a maximum of 25 feet is permitted located on the south side of Ponderosa Way 750 feet east of Jones Boulevard.

Approve a use permit for a sun tanning facility in conjunction with a shopping center on 2 acres in a general commercial zone located on the northeast corner of Fort Apache Road and Hacienda Avenue.

Approve a zone change to reclassify 7.5 acres from rural estates residential zone to residential urban density zone for a single family residential subdivision and a use permit for a planned unit development located on the east side of Jones Boulevard and the north side of Santoli Avenue.

Approve a zone change to reclassify 10 acres from rural estates residential zone to medium density residential zone for a single family residential subdivision and waivers of development standards for the following: 1) reduce setbacks; and 2) reduce street separations located on the east side of Torrey Pines Drive and the north side of Erie Avenue.

Approve a zone change to reclassify 5 acres from local business zone to medium density residential zone for a single family residential subdivision; a use permit for a planned unit development; and a waiver of development standards to reduce street widths located on the west side of Pioneer Way and the north side of Eldorado Lane.

Approve a use permit to allow a check cashing facility in conjunction with an existing shopping center and a waiver of development standards to reduce the separation from two other check cashing facilities on 1.8 acres in a local business zone located on the northwest corner of Decatur Boulevard and Pioneer Avenue.
