To Emilio Fernandez, the idea of liberty symbolizes his family's leaving Cuba to enter the United States, a land of opportunity. He is pleased to now be the principal of Liberty High School, 11050 Bermuda Road, which will serve as a pilot for a fresh perspective on an old way of teaching. Liberty will be the first comprehensive high school in Clark County to host a curriculum of "the classics." It will also support a new way to look at dress codes.
